Through These Eyes

A poem by Dr. Patricia H. Marino.

Look through these eyes

Hear through these ears

Feel through these bowels

Care past all my fears.

Speak from this mouth

From it grace impart

Give out from these hands

So I share my heart.

Love then, with my sharing

And with my measure of faith

Wisdom refreshing my tongue

Sensing need with my embrace.

Quicken to task my feet

Swiftly to blot out lack

Aid to one discouraged

A step up – yes, to give back.

Finally I am seeing

Hearing – no pause or fear

Heart for help and bowels of mercy

My purpose – Your call now clear.
